On 15th April 2025, representatives of A&D Environmental Services attended the IOSH North Wales event - Safety in the Rural Industries.

This was a prestigious meeting with more than 150 delegates attending with presentations from NFU, Mental Health charity Yellow Wellies, HSE Agricultural Inspectorate, and asbestos trade body ASESA, all covering topics related to the risks and accidents/fatalities/well-being in this sector.

The main outcome from the event was that for the disproportionately bad safety statistics to improve in the rural industries, the existing culture needs to change, and behaviours challenged through awareness and appropriate training and support.

We were pleased to attend as delegates at the event but also as exhibitors offering the support to this sector in terms of asbestos management and the maintenance of agricultural buildings.

Dean Holmes (Director), Dan Beattie (Contracts Manager) and Nigel Parry (Compliance Manager) attended on behalf of A&D Environmental Services.
